Planet Youth Homer

What’s Next for PY Homer?

Data Steers Community Planning

The data from the questionnaire was analyzed and reported back to our community from the Planet Youth Iceland data team we contracted with (data was received back within 5 weeks, such a quick turnaround!). The data is owned by our community and will be housed at the South Peninsula Behavioral Health Services (the Center) for safe keeping.

February-April 2026 the focus for PY Homer members will be presenting this data to any audience requesting to hear it/interact with it/share with community sectors. As we do data dissemination planning, we are seeking invitations to present the data at local gatherings, meetings, work sessions, and events- please spread the word to contact anna@elementalconsulting.solutions to schedule a data talk/presentation!

Then the work begins by connecting together what we learned from the data on what it’s like growing up in Homer right now. How do youth spend their time? How connected do they feel to adults? Where do they struggle? Where do they thrive? These are among the many questions we’ll have more insight on from youth themselves. Most importantly, the data helps us realize what’s missing for young people. What do youth say they need to make healthy choices? How can we support what’s already existing and working as well as creating what is needed? This is the work of action planning.
